Unleash your inner islander! Combine the fun of self-sufficient adventure on Domwe Island with a dash of old-fashioned luxury and romance on Mumbo Island. Domwe Island Camp is basic but exclusive with only three fully-furnished safari tents and two tent sites. It is run on a self-catered basis with guests providing their own food and making use of the fully-equipped kitchen to prepare their own meals.
The tiny camp on Mumbo Island is straight out of Robinson Crusoe. Seven safari tents are complemented by a dining area and bar. Expert island chefs prepare fine meals while guests kayak and swim amongst myriad multi-coloured fish, or simply heed the call of a shady hammock or hideaway next to the water and just “time-out”.
Safe and friendly, the islands of the Lake Malawi National Park offer the kind of holiday where relaxation and comfort go hand-in-hand with a spirit of adventure.

Price excludes: meals as indicated, drinks, all airport taxes, visa fees and travel insurance.
Gecko Lounge and Domwe Island are self-catered. Gecko Lounge has fully-furnished chalets complete with kitchenette. There is a bar and restaurant on the premises. Domwe Island accommodation is in fully-furnished safari tents and includes kayaks and snorkeling gear.
Accommodation on Mumbo Island includes all meals, activities and equipment (except SCUBA), as well as bottomless cups of tea, coffee and cooldrink.
Shopping for food: If flight times permit a shopping stop can be made at a supermarket en route to Cape Maclear. At Cape Maclear there is the Gecko Lounge shop where most items can be bought, and the village market.
Group size: One to fourteen people.
Level of difficulty: Easy (no fitness or experience required).
Duration: Seven nights (three nights Domwe Island, three nights Mumbo Island, one night Gecko Lounge on the beach at Cape Maclear).
